There is nothing wrong with having a 16 in your primary stat, your character will still be effective, but optimancers will suggest you try to get your dexterity to an 18. As a magus you are inherently going to do damage, all you need to do is hit with your spellstrike.So in this way, the "Ancient" heritage is a genetic one. And it really helps the build by granting a dedication at level 1. Gotta be nimble to dodge, climb, duck, jump and so on. A bodyguard needs to stay alert. Use those dashes and dodges to escape unharmed.
